What is an AI keyword tool for SEO research?
An AI keyword tool for SEO research turns a topic, a product, or a website URL into a ranked list of keyword ideas. A topic or product returns related ideas. A website URL returns keywords that domain already ranks for. Each row shows search intent, estimated monthly search volume, a difficulty score, and an opportunity score so you can see which terms are worth a page. This one is free to start and needs no account for the first results.
How do you use an AI keyword tool for SEO research?
Type a niche, a product, or a website address and submit the form. The page reloads with a shareable URL and a keyword table of intent, volume, difficulty, opportunity, and priority. Start with the high-priority rows, then keep the terms that match a page you can actually publish.
What does each keyword row include?
Every row is one keyword plus the fields you need to compare it with the others. Volume and difficulty come from the same keyword data Orchory uses for its own research. Opportunity and priority are calculated on this page from those two numbers.
| Column | What it means |
|---|---|
| Keyword | The search phrase, tidied for display |
| Intent | Informational, commercial, transactional, or navigational |
| Volume/mo | Estimated monthly searches |
| Difficulty | A 1–100 competition score from the keyword data |
| Opportunity | Volume weighted down by difficulty |
| Priority | High, medium, or low, by rank inside this result |
How does search intent get classified?
Each keyword arrives with an intent from the keyword data. Informational terms are people learning, commercial terms are people comparing, transactional terms are people ready to act, and navigational terms are people looking for a specific site. If a keyword has no intent in the data, this tool labels it Commercial so it still sorts with the comparison terms.
| Intent | The searcher is… | Typical page |
|---|---|---|
| Informational | Learning | Guide or explanation |
| Commercial | Comparing options | Comparison or alternatives page |
| Transactional | Ready to act | Product, pricing, or signup page |
| Navigational | Looking for a known site | Brand or product home |
What does the opportunity score mean?
Opportunity = monthly volume × (100 − difficulty) ÷ 100. A high-volume, low-difficulty keyword scores higher than a high-volume keyword that is already crowded. Volume is the size of the query. Difficulty lowers the score as competition rises. The result is a sorting signal for this table, not a traffic forecast and not a promise you can rank.
What does priority mean?
Priority is a rank inside this result, not a universal grade. After the rows are sorted by opportunity, the strongest third is High, the middle third is Medium, and the rest is Low. Review High first, keep Medium when it matches a real page, and skip Low unless the intent is exact. A short result can still have a High row.
Is this AI keyword tool for SEO research free?
Yes. You can run a search with no account and no card. The page shows the five strongest keywords immediately. Expanding the lookup from 12 ideas to 30, and downloading the CSV, does not require an account. Entering an email reveals the rest of the on-page table and the hand-off that turns the map into pages.
Can I research a competitor website?
Yes. Paste a public website address and the tool looks up keywords that domain already ranks for. It does not show that site’s backlinks, rank history, or traffic. Type a topic or product name instead and it looks up related ideas, not that site’s current positions.
Can I export the keyword research?
Yes. After a search you can download a CSV of up to 30 rows with no account. The file includes the keyword, intent, monthly volume, difficulty, and opportunity score. The same topic is cached for six hours, so a repeat export in that window returns the same map.
How is this different from Ahrefs or Semrush?
Ahrefs and Semrush are broad research suites: larger keyword databases, rank tracking, and backlink data. This page is a free starting map of intent, volume, difficulty, and opportunity. Orchory’s next step is different again: it turns the keywords you keep into page prompts a coding agent can open as a pull request. Use a suite when you need the wider dataset. Use this tool when you want a short list you can act on.
| Job | This tool | Ahrefs or Semrush |
|---|---|---|
| Start without an account | Yes | No |
| Intent, volume, difficulty | Yes | Yes |
| Rank tracking and backlinks | No | Yes |
| Turn a keyword into a pull request | Through Orchory | No |
How many keywords does one search return?
A search returns up to 12 keyword ideas. Choose “Show all 30” to expand that lookup to 30, which is the maximum for one run and for the CSV. The page itself shows the five strongest rows until you enter an email. Duplicate phrases are merged, and the higher-opportunity copy is kept.
How often should I rerun SEO keyword research?
Rerun it when the product, the audience, or the pages you plan to publish change. Repeating the same topic inside six hours returns the cached map, so it will not show a new list just because you clicked again. A new topic is a new search.
